The Molecular Signaling Lab (MS Lab) lead by Adjunct professor/Research fellow Meenakshisundaram Kandhavelu focuses on understanding molecular signaling network communication. These networks play crucial roles in gene expression regulation and cell fate determination. By investigating molecular signaling pathways that contribute to cancer and other diseases, research in MS Lab is breaking new ground. Improper intra and/or extracellular signal transduction affects cells well-being and lead to various diseases. Specifically, we study the canonical and non-canonical signaling pathways activated by GPCRs at single cell level. For this, our group deploys interdisciplinary research knowledge such as cell and molecular experimental approach, single cell imaging, image processing, signal processing, computational models and bioinformatics
