Abstract

MetalsMyths is a visualization of the technological and cultural history of metals as a single genealogical branch traced from prehistory to the present, with a significant discontinuity occurring in the modern era. It also provides a survey of technical and cultural development and architectural projects. Metalsmyths includes the work of the speakers participating in the conference Post-Ductility, which comprises a tribute to groundbreaking work in metal.
