Abstract

This paper will study the controller design of a Telecom rectifier from theoretical and practical viewpoint. A practical analogue constant-voltage and over-load protection controller will be suggested and described based on a modified PI-D implementation and intelligent use of simple diodes to ensure stability and proper dynamics of operation. The presented concept is well proven in practical usage and shows excellent performance from light load down to short circuit.
