The objective of this paper was to measure the electric field (EF) next to a secondary terminal of current transformer with two different methods and then compare results to earlier studies. In the first method, the EF meter was attached to an insulator pole that was 2m in length and lifted next to the secondary terminal of current transformer by hand. In the second method, a man hoist was used to lift the meter. We conducted 20 measurements and the maximum value was above the high action level of the Directive 2013/35/EU. Therefore, the current working method is not satisfactory and additional ways of reducing the electric field strengt1h should be considered.
